Enhance client-server architecture

Hi all,

I'm using DVBViewer Pro in a networking environment, in details:

- 1 Server with free-to-air DVB-S (and I hope DVB-T soon)

- 2 or 3 clients around the house

I suggest to improve funcion in this area, for exemple:

- Centralized recordind (for example and option so the client when set e timer can choose

if the timer itself have to be executed locally or by server) - (today i'm using e copy of DVBViewer

installed on server and i set up timer by remote desktop but this configuration is a bit tricky

because you must assure that the server instance of DVBViewer have to startup/exit at start/end

of timer as if remain running it prevent the possibility to change channel by other client.

- Obviously some related function like client review and modify of the central list of timers,

client browser and view of registrations (actually I send all registration in mpg format to a shared

directory and browse it file by file), ecc.

- Centralized grabbing and distribution of epg

I stop here (its not a functional requirements document ;-)) but I hope that my idea is understandable.

Thanks
