Does "restart the graph" reset the CAM too?

Hi all,

 

Still investigating about DVBV issue when changing chanel from FTA to encrypted with the CAM Viaccess red.

 

I have found that the action "restart the graph" seems to restart the CAM too. After few seconds, the picture otherwise black is back again.

 

Any comments would be appreciated.

Restarting the directshow graph can close the BDA graph also (and rebuild it). This can result in a "reset" of the CAM (depends on the driver).

 

But if the BDA graph is also in use by a recording etc it will not be closed and reopened.
