Overlay Mixer/Core AVC Performance Problem

Hope someone can help

 

I have been experimenting with my new purchase. I am getting the best results from using the Overlay Mixer renderer along with the Core AVC 264 and Microsoft MPG Codecs.

 

I seem to have a conflict with this mix. I am using a Radeon Xpress 1200 graphics card if that helps. When I have this combination selected, first things are fine, but when I change between channels onto an HD source, I loose the picture (the sound is still ok) and I get colours moving across the screen. I close the application and then when I go back in, I can view SD channels no problem but once again, when I choose an HD source, I have picture problems.

 

Could anyone offer any advise.
