bob0r Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 How come if i tune HBO HD on Hotbird 13E: 11258MHz, then same channel: 12278MHz, i turn off DVBViewer then it open on 11258MHz again? I have had this before, but then same channel different satellite! (Luxe TV HD) Also this issue in the past has caused faillure to record on some channels, i thought it was solved, but i just had it again (the HBO story) Quote
Griga Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 How come if i tune HBO HD on Hotbird 13E: 11258MHz, then same channel: 12278MHz, There is no 12278 MHz transponder on Hotbird. However, on 12264 V I found HBO HD Test, ServiceID 3105, Audio PID 411 (MPEG) or 412 (AC3) and on 11258 H (DVB-S2): HBO HD, ServiceID 15201, Audio PID 736 (pol) or 636 (eng) These are the data that are used by DVBViewer for distinguishing channels, and they are obviously different. I exported both channels from TransEdit to DVBViewer Pro, and - in order to make it more difficult - renamed HBO HD Test on 12264 V (second in my the channel list) to HBO HD, tuned it, closed DVBViewer, launched it again... well, I got no picture and sound, since the channels are encrypted, but DVBViewer correctly re-tuned the one on 12264 V. bob0r Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 (edited) Ah i am sorry, ofcourse i meant 11278MHz, i made a typo, please try with that data! 11278 and 11258, DVBViewer gets confused by those, both channels are called HBO HD and both are DVB-S2. source: http://en.kingofsat.net/hdtv.php Edited August 25, 2008 by bob0r Quote
Griga Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Go to the channel editor and check the Audio PID and Service ID of both HBO HD channels. Are they different? Quote
Griga Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Can't reproduce it here. DVBViewer Pro always tunes the correct one after being relaunched. Make sure that Options -> TV + Radio -> Tune last channel is ticked. Tune the ITI channel in the channellist (how do you tune it?). Go to About -> Configuration Folder. Close DVBViewer. Open Setup.xml from the configuration folder with a text editor. You should find the following entry:
1121991521|HBO HD (pol)
The entry for the CYFRA+ channel after tuning it and closing DVBViewer:
1099444960|HBO HD (pol)
The numerical part consists of tuner type, service ID and audio PID.
