antdude Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Hello! I noticed in DVBViewer TE, it updates like every few seconds, but Pro v3.9.2.0 takes longer like ten seconds. How can I change Pro's refresh rate to faster updates since I hate waiting ten seconds for an update while tweaking my antennae. Thank you in advance. Quote
antdude Posted December 28, 2008 Author Posted December 28, 2008 No one knows? I upgraded TE too, and now it refreshes slow too. Quote
Griga Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 How can I change Pro's refresh rate to faster updates Hardcoded. Not possible. The slow refresh rate avoids problems with faulty drivers causing a high CPU load when querying them too often for signal strength/quality. Quote

I hate waiting about 15 seconds to see how good my signals are when adjusting my huge bowtie antenna for my two Broadband Technologies Air2PC-ATSC-PCI HDTV tuner cards (r0.2; DVB). CX23882-19 Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) You can use this: http://www.quantexzone.com/files/scbda/Sca...nnelsBDA_UK.exe if you want "quick" signal statistics, but be aware that even if the application reads them quickly, there's no guarantee that the driver is reporting them immediately. I think there is something like 5 seconds delay for eMPIA devices between the strength/quality changing and this being reflected in the driver's BDA signal stats. (And then of course some drivers report absolute nonsense too) Edited December 29, 2008 by CX23882-19 Quote

Check that drivers are installed and that the TV tuner is connected to your PC. Quote
