Hi all,

I am suffering the system hang when watching Hong Kong HDTV.

My system config:

HW

AMD5000+

Asus M3N78-EMH-HDMI

4GB RAM

Galaxy 9800GT

Grandmars PG183H (DMB-TH TV card)

SW

DVBViewer 3.9.4.0

PDVD8 patch 2021

AC3Filter

Iwas suffering the "blocking" screen for the H.264 pogram with ATI HD3870 and I was so depress. The "blocking" just happen in some spots ofn the screen and kind of random. So, I spent another US$120 to buy the nVidia 9800GT and try to avoid this "blocking" issue.

I re-install al the windows and SW and make the system as clean as possile.

Now, I don't have the "Blocking" H.264 screen but gtting another 2 issues:

1) I can see that the video quality is getting worse with 9800GT (compare to ATI HD3870). Also, I can sense that the vide i not as smooth as before. Seems like it just skip some frames. For me, seem like ATI will show you all the issue immediately and that's why you see the "blocking" happen. But now, nVidia just skip the whole frame and hide the "blocking" on some spots but just take out whole frame.

2) The systemis easy to get hang (especially for freqency channels switching). I haven't seen this problem before with ATI card. Just wonder if anything I can help to debug these 2 problems.

I don't want to spend ay extra to buy another TV card or graphic card. It already over the investment copare to buy a set tp box.

BR,

Kin

System hangs... well DVBViewer is running in the user mode, does not have any drivers on it's own => if your system hangs then it's your hardware/drivers issue, not the DVBV.
