encrypted HD channels -> black screen

Got something strange going on:

- unencrypted HD channel (BBC HD) plays fine

- encrypted SD channel (Discovery Science) plays fine too

- encrypted HD channel (Discovery HD Europe) only plays audio but video stays black

At first looks, it seems that encrypted channels on DVB-S2 transponders are giving black video but with correct audio.

Any suggestions?

Which CI and CAM do you use?

technotrend S2-3650CI

Aston CAM with the TV-Vlaanderen card in it

PowerDVD 8 codecs

Are the API dlls installed?

If no install the CI/Remote support for Technotrend and MS C runtime via start menu > programs > DVBViewer > Support > Modify DVBViewer Pro.

If that did not help. Post your support.zip

Encrypted SD channels wouldn't work then ;) .

I am wondering whether the Aston SECA is up to the task of decrypting such high data rates...

support.zip would be a nice thing though...

i have been using the ASTON SECA cam with tv-vlaanderen smart card for more than two months and never had any issue with it...

Is the version of firmware on your CAM the 1.07?

That is the version I use, and it works well...

In france, Astoncrypt version 2.18 is needed to watch HD/H264 chanels. AC3 audio too...The one with green LED.

The old 1.05 and 1.07 are out of date, firmware not upgradable. Just good for SD chanels without access to AC3 audio.

If this can be of some help.
