It's interesting that no-one has replied to this. It appears to be a problem with 3.9.4 & vista 64. I had the same problems, for the most part, and resolved them by downgrading to 3.9.2 :-(

I wrote to the developers (Christian Hackbart) who suggested that I may have previously used an illegal version, which wasn't so. When I discovered that the problem doesn't exist with 3.9.2, but only 3.9.4, I informed him but, so far, got no reply. sad.gif

BTW It would always crash if I didn't deal with the registration dialogue. Whether I filled it in correctly or cancelled it, it would close DVBViewer and would start agin for a short time, before repeating the process. :-(

Here is the my mail to Christian from 31st October, with all the previous mail quoted, below it (BTW obviously when I mention 2.9.4, at one point, I meant 3.9.4 - just a typo):

CH> This usually only happens if you have had a non legal version earlier. To
CH> remove this, select under help->config folder the configuration folder.
CH> Close the DVBViewer, deinstall it and remove the remaining entries in the
CH> config folder. After this install the DVBViewer regular.

In this case, not. I definitely never used any illegal version, ever. I
followed your instructions, with version 3.9.2 and the problem never
showed up again.

Then, I upgraded to 3.9.4 and the problem was back. This is all very
time consuming, because I have to tweak everything on a re-install to
get all my settings back the way they were, originally.

Please help. I want the features of 2.9.4 (actually I want the next
version, having read of the changes you are planning), but I cannot use
a version that keeps nagging me for registration, when I am already
registered.

If there is anything more I can tell you about my installation that may
help, please let me know. I enclose support.zip.
