cbran Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hello, Can anybody please tell me how can I tune to two or three digit channels (and/or favorite channels) directly with keyboard or remote control. I can only figure how to change in the 0-9 channel range (channel list and favorite list). In short I would like to tune directly to say for ex. channel 23 using the remote control (or keybord) without using the OSD channel list. Using nr on the keyboard or remote I can only tune to channel 2. Thanks. Quote
Moses Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 (edited) Then you should go into options->tv+radio and raise the "Timeout for channelswitching by numbers" a bit, default is 2000 (= 2 seconds), I think. That would give you 2secs to press the second button on your remote. Edited October 4, 2008 by Moses Quote
cbran Posted October 4, 2008 Author Posted October 4, 2008 Thanks, for your reply, Moses, but it's not working. Indeed I had "Timeout for channels switching" at 0. Had changed it even to 3sec, but channels still in the 0-9 range, as the first digit pressed (on keyboard/remote). I also had "Fast channel swithcing" checkbox ON. Disabled it (default setting). Still the same. Fast channel zapping is a must for me. So even if you were right with the channel switch delay, I'd not be using it. The software should really have a mean to change directy to a two or more digit channel with keyboard/remote. Also fast changing of channels is preffered. I managed to get it somewhere at <500ms (disabled Auto Audio Video detection in DX Filter section, wich was v slow). And one more thing, I'd like to beta test the software if possible. What is the procedure to become a betatester? I'm pretty keen on spotting errors, in my opinion. I made a pretty long list of unhandled events. Quote
Moses Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 You can take part in the public beta tests. They are announced on this board and the beta version is posted in the member section. For your problem: maybe you could supply a support.zip. Quote
cbran Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 Sorry for bothering Moses, i resolved the problem reinstalling the May DVBViewer release. I was currious how the beta v3.9.4.70 works so I moved it over the stable version and I forgot. Thus this beta has the two digit channel change problem, as I described it. The latest stable version works fine. I will post problems if I can find for this release. Thanks again. Quote
