Postprocessor plugin + ffdshow

If i try postprocessor plugin under Vista+EVR render,it doesn't work,my screen is black.

Only Audio is OK.

 

If i try postprocessor plugin under Vista+VMR9 render all Ok.

 

I use FFDShow as Postprocessor codec.

 

My Directshow Video chain is DVBSource->Nvidia codec->FFDShow->EVR Render

 

Somebody has the same problem?

Hi,

 

The main issue when using FFDShow is the resulting terrible desinterlacing, especialy obvious when watching football. It looks like the graphic card desinterlacing feature can't work.

 

You can get an equivalent picture enhencement with the NVidia Control Panel: just to set the sharpen maximum ands that's it. In addition, I have not tested, thanks god, Vista, but I found the EVR picture quality under XP very poor, similat to VMR7. The Overlay is still by far the best.

That's correct. If ffdshow is used as post processor the graphic card can't do anything with the signal. The Software Decoder has to completely decode and deinterlace the signal and then pass it to ffdshow. After that it's passed to the graphic card. So in this case only the software decoder can influence deinterlacing.

Solved!!!

 

After new Filter plugin with OSD Source 3.2 all OK.

 

Also i've setted FFDShow Output color space as YuY2 and not RGB32.
