How to kill dvbviewer.exe

Sometimes dvdv crashes but I can't restart it because the application still runs. I try killing the process but it doesn't work. The only way is to restart windows.

 

Is there another way to kill DVBViewer.exe process?

You have to stop the Recordingservice too.

via the process list of the taskmanager (crtl + alt + del) it normaly works, but not always.

Ctrl+Alt+Canc doesn't work. Which is the the recording service's name in taskmanager process list?

If you did not install the Recordingservice than is there also no nee to stop the Recordingservice on a crash.

Ok I understand, so when dvbv crashes I only have to kill it (no rec service installed) but afaik it doesn't work on my system.

The following happens:

DVBViewer crashes, you try to kill it, but DVBViewer.exe remains in taskmanager->process list no matter what you do, correct?

 

That can happen, if "something" in the drivers of your dvb hardware locks up or something like that (most probably the reason why DVBViewer crashed in the first place).. You should try to get new drviers. On most other occasions, when DVBViewer crashes, it's no problem to kill the app.
