signal quality always constant

Hello,

 

I use Hauppauge WinTV HVR 4000 for satellite reception.

In statusbar (or any other place it's set up to apear), the green bar, "signal quality" it's always constant (94%) no matter what channel freqency is tuned.

 

I also use FastSatFinder where "signal quality" and "signal level" are both displayed. Quality is also constant (94%) for all frequences. Only the "signal level" is variable, as I move the dish or change transponder.

 

Is there a way to have "signal level" displayed instead of "signal quality"?

 

Is it a bug of DVBViewer or tuner driver?

This is driver related. You better ask Hauppauge.

Yes, but Signal level acts normaly, depending on how well the dish is positioned.

 

I mean I would like to see Signal Level instead of Signal Quality (wich for Hauppauge HVR 4000 is constant, and I guess it's the other way around for other tuner cards) displayed in DVBViewer.
