playing vlc(mkv) files in DVBViewer

is there a way to play vlc files in DVBViewer. This would be the bees knees.

The DVBViewer supports mkv files, but only the unencrypted ones.

Thanks for the reply. Any idea how I get DVBViewer to play them from within the interface and how do I know if they are encrypted or not.

you have to add the ending mkv in options->movies. Then the OSD Video page should show the files (if you set up the folders correctly).

 

Of course you need the correct direct show filters for the content of the file... for example you could use the haali mkv splitter as splitter and ffdshow to decode the content.
