thl Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Hello . . . I have DVBViewer Pro V.3.9.4.0 and have 2 questions: 1 - English manual I have downloaded the newest DVBViewer.chm (Help file - 1.15 mb), but it is emty when I open it. Is there some one who knows how to fix this ? I use Windows Vista. 2 - HTPC mode How do I set the HTPC mode ? I do not have the "HTPC-Mode" option that is shown in the online manual under "7. The Options Window" (http://www.DVBViewer.com/en/index.php?page=manual&chapter=g⊂=g1) Regards Thomas Quote
Gioxy Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 1. probably your Vista dont'have a chm file reader... (I can't know, I use XP); you better have a look in MS site for it... 2. at least two ways: • add to your "setup.xml" file located in the Configuration folder, in the [General] section, this line: "<entry name="HTPCMode">2</entry>"... • add "-x2110" to the DVBViewer icon command line... thl Posted October 16, 2008 Author Posted October 16, 2008 Thanks, adding "-x2110" to the DVBViewer icon command line works perfect. But I can't finde the setup.xml file. Where is it located in XP ? Regarding the chm file, I will check the MS site, but it is only the problem is only related to the new chm- file. I the old one works fine. Regards Thomas Quote
Gioxy Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I can't finde the setup.xml file. Where is it located in XP ? It's depending on the user mode you choose during the installation; to know the actual location simply put DVBViewer in windowed mode and thenclick on "About / Configuration folder"... Regarding the chm file, I will check the MS site, but it is only the problem is only related to the new chm-file. I the old one works fine. Maybe some download problem? Here on XP work perfectly (it's updated on 06.08.2005)... BUT you maybe have (if you choose so when you've installed DVBV), in the program folder, a only slightly older file (updated on 12.04.2005)... OR (IMHO better) you can use the DVBViewer online manual, surely written/updated after the two chm files above mentioned (the deutsch version seems more extended/updated)... Finally, if you can read the german language there is a (still very young) DVBViewer wiki... ...but the best source of updated info is by far the forum... Quote
thl Posted October 16, 2008 Author Posted October 16, 2008 - - - it was located under: C:\ProgramData\CMUV\DVBViewer. I found the setup.xml, added the section and i works perfectly ! I made a new download of the manual, made a virus scan of the file and now i works. Thanks for your help Regards Thomas Quote
