chew6acca Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Hi Guys, This is my first of probably many posts here. I am in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I have a WINTV NOVA-S2 and I want to get as many FTA HD channels as possible. I intend to connect to the largest static dish I can get and hope to get hotbird/eurobird (same thing?) and Astra minimum. Are there any other satellite clusters possible/worth aiming for? I would like to future proof the dish for Sky+/HD - does that mean I need to have 2 LNBs fr Astra alone? Do I need to use separate LNBs or would a quad LNB pick up Hotbird and Astra? Thanks in advance! Quote
cazhug Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 hi hotbird 13 east and astra 19 east is easy with a monoblock (2 lnbs on 1 fitting 6 degrees apart) as is 1 west and 5 east. i used to run two monoblocks on a fixed dish for these sats. sky is at 28 east, so another 9 degrees from 19 east so i dont know if thats possible. best bet is to go motorised, costs next to nothing and is relatively easy to set up yourself. cazhug Quote
