CX23882-19 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Is there any way to stream from a Linux-based PC (currently running Mandriva 2007) to DVBViewer? I'm currently running DVBServer on a Windows XP PC and it works great, but it means I need to leave my XP PC running for the DVB streaming along with my 24/7 CCTV system running ZoneMinder on Linux which is a waste of power. So it seems I have two choices: - Keep Windows PC 24/7 and find replacement (and expensive) CCTV capture app for Windows - Keep Linux 24/7 and find replacement DVB server So, is it possible? With DVBServer everything works so well (channel changes, multiple user management etc.). Quote
Tjod Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Is there any way to stream from a Linux-based PC to DVBViewer? Not really, the DVBServer interface is not documented. And there are plans to cage this in some versions complete. If you are able to generate DVB-IPTV you will be able to watch tis in the DVBViewer. But channel changing will be a problem. Quote
