byngo Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Hi, Seen a few posts where success has been gained in editing commercials out of ITV HD recordings which I believe are H.264. I have DVBV set-up to record in the .ts format. I ran a file through project x on the 1:1 copy settings. Not sure what that did except give me an output file of the same but with "Filtered" in the naming. I cannot open the files in the project x preview window. I get an error message about "could not open file not enough data in buffer" or something like that. The preview window is where i would expect to be able to cut & edit. What am i doing wrong? I have tried many programs to open and edit these files with no joy. I can watch them, no problem, just cannot edit them. I thought from the guide the .ts file type was the best option for editing. Moses Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 you try to use an mpeg2 tool (project X) on h.264 data.. that won't work. Try something like try something like h.264TSCutter... or tsplayer can also cut H.264 material. Quote
