alsaliho Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum and I am definitely a newbie as far as the satellite TV is concerned. Few days ago I had servicemen installed me new satellite dish with DiseqC, which runs through my HTPC (Vista X64, Intel QuadCore, 4GB RAM, Avermedia AVerTV Satellite Hybrid+FM - Stated DiseqC 1.2 compatible)., Prog DVB 3.9.4.0 PRO. So there I was ready to go. They set the starting position on Astra 19.2. The program has immediately recognized it and listed all channels for that satellite. However two problems occurred which I wanted to check if someone can help me. The first one is the picture/sound freeze. It occurs when I change the channel and sometimes in the middle of watching of the program. First the picture freezes with the sound running in the background. Than it all goes black and returns with running picture and sound. The whole cycle lasts around one minute, which can be really annoying if you watch the movie or something. So, is it something with the setup of the DVBViewer, do I need some codex to run it smoothly, since there should not be any trouble with the dish (as it was installed and set by pros), nor with the HTPC hardware available - as it is more than sufficient for smooth rendering. I am really clueless here, so if someone has any idea, I would really appreciate it. Second problem is DiseqC. I have the Strong DiseqC H-H motor SRT DM 2100. I have no idea how to make it turn and look for channels on other satellite, i.e. HotBird 13. How do I make it to do that, since I've found options to set in the Options folder. However, there are so many options to select that I don't know where to go from. Thank you all for help in advance. Quote
jf2020 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Prog DVB 3.9.4.0 PRO. Ah a new beast? A merge between ProgDVB and DVBViewer ? You should post the required information so that someone can really help you Support Info DiseqC 1.2 can be tricky to set up but hopefully someone will be able to help. Quote
alsaliho Posted November 8, 2008 Author Posted November 8, 2008 Ups, I got the wrong one, of course it is DVBViewer, but anyway, I think people will get what I was referring to. Thanks for the support info. Quote
