chrislloyd2 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Hi All, Just bought DVBViewer the other day and have been setting up all the options to suit my Technotrend S2 3650 CI usb device. I am very pleased with the software so far, and find the combination very stable (much better than my old Nebulas using XP) but I have a few queries. If anyone can help with the answers I would appreciate it. Firstly I get all the hd channels so far available on free satellite. They all work fine, except that I can only get picture on ITV HD. I have trawled the internet for possible solutions and tried all the settings I can think of but still no better than just the picture when the signal is broadcasting. These are my current settings (see attached) I have got the timer function working (task scheduler plug-in) but can't get the computer to wake up from sleep in Vista x64 to record, before switching itself back into sleep mode again after the timer has finished. Can anyone offer any suggestions. Should DVBViewer wake the computer? Is that facility supported? Does anyone know of a good HD video editor that will be compatible with the output from DVBViewer. I use VideoRedo for SD material but this does not currently support H.264 I have found the various BBCi/ ITVi etc news multiscreens that are broadcast via satellite, but does anyone know if it is possible to access the red button menus/ teletext services that freeview and freesat carry, using DVBViewer and the technotrend card Anyone know of any HD codecs that are better than Powerdvd 7's (which seems to be more highly thought of than some). I am particularly interested in any that might upsample the SD material Thanks for letting me pick your brains. All thoughts appreciated Best wishes Chris Quote
philbury Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 (edited) Right click for channel editor. Try changing sound from AC3 to MPEG. Do it when you know there's a transmission! Edited December 14, 2008 by philbury Quote
