Evgeni Nikolov Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Hi I have a subscribtion for one DTH operator. Now I want to be able to record one tv program and in the same time to watch another one (sometimes on another transponder) from the same operator. I have two DVB-S cards with CI and since I already have one smartcard I don't want to pay for another subscribtion just to be able every now and then to record something. Is there a "legal" way to do this with just one card? Regards Evgeni Quote
FunkYou Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 HI No there´s no legal way to do this ! (as far as i know). Because every TV card uses only its own CAM. But you can ask your TV provider if they could provide a second subscription card for you, sometimes they do it for a small extra charge.. Quote

Well, they do for 5 EUR a month. The problem is that I don't live in the country and they don't have online service :-/ Anyway... Quote
yaRincewind Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 (edited) AFAIK Lars_MQ did some work with FireDTV and decoding multiple scrambled streams at once. But I don´t know if this was just a "proof of concept", or if these abilities are still in the main branch of the DVBViewer, for I don´t have such a card. But this will only work with 1 card on 1 transponder at a time I think. A kind of card-sharing is definitly not supported in any way. Edited November 18, 2008 by yaRincewind Quote
