chrislloyd2 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Hi, Just a quickie - I have a new Technotrend s2 3650 CI, which I am pleased with - and am running it with the latest version of DVBViewer. I am also using the latest drivers. I have followed all the advice I can find from various people online regarding getting ITV HD reception (I get BBC HD and Luxe TV HD fine) but, although I get the ITV HD picture fine, I can't seem to get any sound when it is broadcasting, no matter what settings I use. I attach a typical screenshot of one of the channel settings I have tried (of the various that are posted online) in the hope that someone might be able to help. Best wishes, Chris Quote
Derrick Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 ..everything seems to be correct. You only can hear the sound during a normal transmission. The test card has no sound (mute) though an ac3 stereo stream is transmitted Quote

Do you have any suggestions? All other services work just fine so I am baffled! Quote
blackbooks Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) Hi, I have an ini for you that contains ITV HD inside it. User Snoods gave it to me from Digitalspy. He certainly wont mind. philbury Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Play around with different audio codecs. I was getting sound OK when watching live but no sound on recordings. I changed the audio codec to a different one and it worked on both. Quote
AndrueC Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 (edited) I had to use the beta DVBViewer to play back a recording of Sunday's Star Wars. No other player could find any video - is this the fix mentioned in the beta notes? I also noticed that it was quite jerky. I'm using a codec that utilises my graphics card properly (only 7% CPU) so I don't think it was a system rendering issue. BBC HD seems absolutely perfect so I'm guessing that it is an ITV issue rather than my system. Edited December 14, 2008 by AndrueC Quote

If it is Jerky it is almost certainly a codec issue, try corecodec higher cpu useage but best results (for me at least). Try the k-lite codec pack too i installed that and have no problems with AC3 audio.. try ffdshow filters! Quote
