klausb
Hey folks, I know this is not the VLC forum, but since VideoLAN is mentioned in other threads, someone might help. If I grab/record via DVBViewer I can play back the result with pretty much all players installed. Only VLC makes trouble. Either nothing happens or only sound and no movie is played back. According to some VLC forum there is something about a corrupt GOP info, which needs to be fixed. Can someone help here? Thanks, klaus. Quote Link to comment
Guest Oliver
Right, but that's a problem of VLC. Playback should work with all DirectShow capable media players. But VLC works after remultiplexing with PVAS, though. Bye, Oliver Quote Link to comment
klausb
Hey Oliver, does it mean first DeMux and then ReMux would fix it (e.g. with a tool like ProjectX or PVAStrumento)? klaus. Quote Link to comment
Guest Oliver
No, with PVAStrumento you can just remultiplex a recording via "makePS". Bye, Oliver Quote Link to comment
klausb
Ok, the following worked for me: 1. Do the recoring in PVA format 2. Use PVAStrumento and make a PS out of it. The result is playable with VLC. klaus. Quote Link to comment
Guest Oliver
There's a new version of VLC, look in the thread "multicast plugin". Bye, Oliver Quote Link to comment
