Malakoudis S. Panagiotis Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Although I've bought DVBViewer almost a year before, I haven't used it till recently. This is a list of things I really like in DVBViewer and things that need to be resolved. Things I like 1. Excellent support for my DVB cards, Skystar HD and HVR-4000. 2. Excellent support for my dish setup, with vbox ii disecq 1.2 positioner 3. Really fast channel change, less than 0.5 sec for FTA channels. 4. Really fast satellite scan, even in satellites that there are transpoders with no signal 5. Excellent OSD interface, light, functional and informative. 6. Excellent support of directshow filters and videoprocessing plugins (I use ffdshow to upscale SD transimitions and CoreAVC for HD transmitions) Things need to be resolved 1. OSD does not show up when tuning fails, under VMR and EVR modes. This ony works under overlay, but in overlay there are other issues, especially in HD channels. It would be nice to make the OSD work in VMR/EVR modes as it works in overlay modes. 2. Support complicated disecq setups, like disecq 1.2 positioner behind disecq 1.1 switch etc. This can now be done manually, it would be nice to have an easy GUI setup. 3. Relate different tuners. In my setup I have two cards in the same dish. Card 1 is connected via a vbox ii positioner to the twin lnb, while card 2 is juct connected to the second port of the twin lnb. I have made card 1 as preferred and card 2 as normal. When I record something in card 2, card 1 shouldn't be allowed to change satellites, but it does, since there is no relation. If I check "shared lnb", then it just records from same transpoder only. It should have an option like "same satellite". 4. Add some channel list sorting from inside OSD, like "sort by name", or "sort by provider", or "sort by satellite". The program is almost perfect. I think the 15 euros I gave are too low for such a great program. Can I do a donation or just buy some more licenses? Quote
