Bjur Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I've been using scheduler as recorder with DVBViewer, where it recorded directly to a network map. I have now switched to Recording Service and if I use the same network folder the recording service icon just turns red 1-2 seconds and then orange again. If I choose a local folder, the problem is gone and I know it works in scheduler, which means it's a priviledge problem. How do I solve that? Quote
Lars_MQ Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 The service runs in a system account and this account does propably have no rights to write to the network folder. Don't use network folders or adjust the rights of this folder. Quote

Default installation of the Recording Service, installs it to run as Local System. This account cannot access the network. I have already detailed yesterday on the danish 'recordere' forum, where you asked this question, what you have to do to correct this. Quote
