Channelswitching from DVB-T to DVB-S (and vice versa)

I have had a problem with <subject> for some time now. When I watch a DVB-T channel and zaps to a DVB-S channel, DVBViewer just shows a black screen. Ie. if I want to switch from one tuner to another, I have to use the function "Close graph" before I can switch.

I have this problem with the Hauppauge HVR-4000 when switching from DVB-T to DVB-S and the other way around. On my previous tuner (HVR-3000) it was only a problem when switching from DVB-T to DVB-S whereas DVB-S to DVB-T was no problem.

Also: since I got the HVR-4000 I have had the problem of not being able to zap from DVB-T to DVB-S using the channel + function. Let me explain:

I have 5 DVB-T channels on channel numbers 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 and DVB-S on channels 5 upwards. If I'm on channel 4 and have "closed graph" to switch to channel no. 5 it goes back to channel no. 0 when pressing channel +.

Can anyone help me with these problems, please?

I have DVBViewer 3.9.4 on a Windows Vista 32bit PC

Regards

Hi Claus, Did version 4.0 solve the issues that you have with your HVR 4000 card? I am interested in getting such a card, but I would like to know if it works properly. Thanks

Hi,

I can't speak for the HVR-4000 card but I have the HVR-3000 and DVBViewer V4 has solved the switching between DVB-S and DVB-T problem it works like

a dream now and although the HVR-3000 is not a HD based card it picks up BBC HD and ITV HD transmissions beautifully with this outstanding

software.

Hope that helps.
