riviera Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 I've a problem with DVBViewer 3.9.4.0 (and latest betas) and folders/files with asian (I think It's chinese) characters in the name. Tested in Windows XP x64 Pro (also tested on XP 32 bits). I download NBA games and play it with DVBViewer. I go to "My Videos" section and browse to the file. When the game's folder contains Chinese characters in the name, the game file does'nt show: Folder name and file name. OSD don't show the file within the folder If I change folder name, now OSD show file and I can play it Quote
riviera Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 If The folder name don't, but the file name yes contains asian characters, DVBViewer shows a Video/pin render error: Rename file name, I can play game correctly. Quote
Tjod Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 The DVBViewer did not Support Unicode. The Asian characters only will displayed correctly if you cage the Windows System language to this Asian language. Quote

The Asian characters only will displayed correctly if you cage the Windows System language to this Asian language. I´ve installed Asian languages for XP (as you seen in first capture). The problem doesn´t this. The problem is if the folder name includes Asian characters, the contents (game file) aren´t shown (see first post). Or when is The file name which containing asian characters, appears video/pin error (see post 2). I don't really matter if DVBViewer not display the folder/files names with these characters. The mistake is that I can´t play it. Thanks. Quote
