pankov Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 I have a dual screen system (an LCD monitor + Projector) and I want to have different shortcuts to start DVBViewer on different monitors. When I start it on my LCD screen I want it to start in normal (windowed) mode at an exact position and when I start it on my projector I want to be fullscreen. Is it possible to do it without having two different installations of DVBViewer? I prefer to use only one so I can keep configurations and channels same and up to date. I only need a way to change screen, fullscreen state and audio output (A or when the applications starts. Are there some command line options that I can use? ... or some way to edit the configuration file? When it was an .ini file it was very easy but now with .xml (and not a perfectly structured one) it's not possible any more. Do have a look at the way ZoomPlayer does it for example. http://www.inmatrix.com/zplayer/parameters.shtml Quote
humando65 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 +1 hello, same idea me too... in fact, i wish to run DVBViewer directly to the second screen, not the first and then drag and drop the window to the second from the first... some programs use also this option (mediaportal, ...) Quote
Benjamin D Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Hello, I use a small program called Ultramon (trial version, then €), that allows programs to start in one window or the other, with the resolutions/size/position you want. It is practical. I have a Zalman HD 160XT, I start Windows MCE in the small screen for Web radios and CDs, I start Power DVD and DVBViewer on the LCD for TV and DVD. All of this by remote. The 30-day trial version is available at http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ Good try Benjamin Quote
pankov Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) Benjamin, I use Ultramon too, but I'm not sure you can do this "monitor switching" with it's shortcuts - especially starting fullscreen on one and in windowed mode on the other. Even if it can be done it will be an ugly hack instead of a nice internal solution in DVBViewer From your words I understand that you always start DVBViewer on the same monitor (the LCD) while in my case I want to have two different shortcuts (remote control commands) for the two monitors, right? Benjamin D Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 You're absolutely right - I use Ultramon to start applications on different, but unchanging, screens. Never tried what you're trying to do... sorry. Quote
