Hi all,

I've just bought the Nova HD S-2, cabled it up to my exisiting dish with motor on and it's driving the positioner when I use DVBviwer! Just thought I'd share this as I'm excited and really like this card and software combination.

I did some reseach before I bought the card as I know it says USALS and DisECq 1.2 aren't listed as being supported so I bought it after resigning myself to only getting astra 28e... but if you use DVBViewer and set up each channel to use USALS it works

If anyone is consedering this card for a similar set up I would totally recommend it If anyone has this set up and no motor then I recommend adding one :)

I wanted to use it with the tvpack on VMC x64 but it was only giving SD channels on astra and I haven't found a way to move the dish yet. I probably wont as DVBViewer works and VMC x64 wont support dvb-s2 in x264 because MS are rubbish. So I bought DVBViewer and will use VMC for everthing non-tv

My card, Hauppage 4000, no work with Diseqc 1.2 so I installed a twin LNB as:-

TWIN LNB = 1 connection to motor and any satellite receiver to drive to the desired position then:-

OTHER CONNECTION on the LNB directly cabled and connected to the PC card which allows the unhindered scan.

ie....motor and sat receiver find the satellite you need to scan/watch and other LNB connection to the PC card gets round the problem of DiSEqC 1.2 or USALS requirement.

Good luck to you. :bye:
