Version 4.0 + CyberLink codec = too dark

I installed DVBViewer Pro 4.0 (removed 3.9.4.0 including all settings) and noticed that the picuture is very dark. Moving the brightness slider from the middle position 0% down to -100% does not have any effect on the brightness. Only 0% to +100% range has any effect. I didn't have such problem with older DVBViewer versions. The codec is Power DVD 6 player, Overlay Mixer used.
