antdude Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 (edited) Hi! Now that I have two Broadband Technologies Air2PC-ATSC-PCI HDTV tuner cards in my updated Windows XP Pro. SP3 machine, how do I automatically record two things at once? I tried using DVBViewer Pro v4.0.0.0's timer/scheduler to record two different channels with the same dates, and starting and ending times automatically. When I checked the results, I only saw one channel recorded. What am I doing wrong? DVBViewer Pro does see both cards (one is preferred and one is normal). I must be doing this wrong since I have never done dual setup before. Thank you in advance and happy new year. Edited January 1, 2009 by antdude Quote
Moses Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 try to delete all hardware from options->hardware, close down DVBViewer (and all "tools" connected to it), start DVBViewer and do a fresh scan. It could be that there is something wrong in your hardware settings and that should fix it. If everything is set up correctly, it should work exactly like you said. You should see in the recordings window, that there is no conflict and both channels should be recorded. This is how I test my multituner setup: switch to channel A, start recording, switch to channel B (on a different frequency!), if that works and the recording is still growing (you can see that in the statistics window) everything should be ok (you can also start a recording on channel . antdude Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 OK, I will try fresh scan on the devices since I did NOT start from scratch last time. I only upgraded drivers and DVBViewer Pro (v4), tested with one old card I had for years, installed HDTV tuner card #2, Windows XP saw my card and reinstalled drivers, added the new card in DVBViewer, tested manual dual recordings (worked, but not for dual timeshiftings), etc. Quote
antdude Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 OK, I removed all everything including the disabled Unicast and Muticast network devices. I exited DVBViewer Pro and its httpserver. Relaunched DVBViewer Pro and checked hardware settings. Both cards were detected. I did noticed Air2PC-ATSC-PCI 1 and Air2PC-ATSC-PCI 2 (used to be no number and 3). It worked! Why does Timer still yellow horizontal highlighted bar even though there are two different recordings? They shouldn't conflict if I have two tuners! Quote
antdude Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Uh oh, I have ANOTHER problem. One of my recordings does NOT have any audio. Checking the recording in Media Player Classic confirmed no audio track found. My other recording had audio. Uhh, did I miss something? Quote
antdude Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Weird, I tried again and it was fine. [scratches head] Quote
