McenterFreak2 Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Hello I am using FireDTV S2 and Hauppauge to see Canal Digital channels from Thor. I also use a Hauppauge DVB-T tuner to see Danish DVB-T channels Everything has worked fine with both 3.9.4 and the following betas, but now the Beta expired and i installed ver. 4.0 After installation, all my HD channels from Thor stopped working. I therefor decided to make a complete reinstallation of Vista Ultimate, drivers etc I then made a clean installation of DVBViewer, but no luck. The HD channels dont work. I have used Transedit to locate the channels and send them to DVBViewer. Now also the channels on my DVB-T tuner dosent work. I have suplied a support tool ZIP support.zip Quote

McenterFreak2 Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 I still have the problem. Waiting for a reply from the developers Is anybody looking into this problem? It is a severe problem for me. I can't watch HD channels. Everything worked fine before ver. 4.0. All beta versions worked fine too, but 4.0 killed my HD Channels!!! The old version of DVBViewer is no longer available, so my situation is terribible!! Quote
blomman Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Had the same problem on some HD Channels on "FireDTV S2/Thor" when upgrading to 4.0, changing the "Modulation" in transedit from "Auto" to "8PSK" solved the problem for me... Quote

blomman Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Thank you, but no luck I have tried this now, but no change Try my transponder file if you want, if it's not working maybe something is wrong with the HD codec. or something 3590_edit2.zip Quote
McenterFreak2 Posted January 10, 2009 Author Posted January 10, 2009 Try my transponder file if you want, if it's not working maybe something is wrong with the HD codec. or something Thanks, but the transponder list i already have is perfect. I have found a DVBViewer 3.9.4 version, and installed it. Now everything is working perfectly So the problem lies in DVBViewer 4.0 To the developers: Have you read this tread?, Can you aknowledge the problem?, Have any solution? Quote
McenterFreak2 Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 I try to repeat: To the developers: Have you read this tread?, Can you aknowledge the problem?, Have any solution? Quote
Lars_MQ Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Most likely a problem in your transponder list. please try the one provided by @blomman. Quote
McenterFreak2 Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 Most likely a problem in your transponder list. please try the one provided by @blomman. Okay I try that. I Need to reinstall 4.0 again to reproduce the problem. I am currently back to 3.9.4.0 because this works fine Quote

McenterFreak2 Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 I too am using FireDTVS2 to get TV from Thor 5 (Canal Digital), and I have the exact same problem. Today i reinstalled my HTPC, installed DVBViewer 4.0, made a scan with the transponder list supplied from Bomman, and it works So thanks Blomman Quote
McenterFreak2 Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 I am sorry to say that now it dosen't work again! As told, it worked right after installation, but now some HD channels (eg BBC HD) dosent work at all. The only thing i have changed, is that i installed a Hauppauge Nova-T PCI (DVB-T) with latest drivers. But it could only find 20 Swedish channels, no Danish channels (used Terestrial EUR transponder list) Then i installed a Cynergy DVB-T USB stick (same antenna) and this correctly found the 4 Danish channels with the same transponder list. STRANGE! But now some of the HD channels dosen't work anymore at all Must say that ALL works fine (for months) when using DVBViewer 3.9.4.0 (question is: Then why don't you use 3.9.4.0. Answer: Wont be left behind) Quote
McenterFreak2 Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 I now think i have found the problem I know that it is important to uncheck the "Open whole transponder" when using my setup (Thor 5 Sattelite/FireDTV). And i did that, and it worked fine. But when i installed my DVB-T stick, DVBViewer decided that my disabling the "Open whole Transponder" was a bad decision, and enabled it! So i changed it back, and now it is working If it fails, i will be back Quote
