Possible to avoid CAM initialization delay when switching between hard

I'm using a Hauppauge PCI card for one satellite and a TechnoTrend S2-3650 CI USB receiver with CAM and subscription card for encrypted channels on a second satellite.

 

Seems the CAM takes a while (maybe half a minute) to initialize - when I first switch to an encrypted channel I have to wait this long before the channel is tuned. Once the CAM is up and running, channel changing within the same satellite is nice and fast.

 

The problem occurs when I switch between channels on the different hardware: I have to wait for the CAM to initialize again, presumably because the graph is closed and reopened (manually closing the graph and re-tuning has the same effect).

 

Is there any way to avoid this delay? I guess one way would be to keep a "keep-alive" graph open in the background when switching hardware, but so far I haven't found any way of persuading DVBViewer to do this.
