DVB Viewer Pro causes Windows XP SP3 to crash

:bye: Initially I though this problem was caused by the Timer recording feature, but it also now happens on manual recordings. While in the middle of a recording, the computer will shut down and restart. I have no real idea why: this is the only program which does this on my computer.

I wondered whether it might be caused by Windows XP SP3 update, particularly as I am using Technotrend BDA drivers for my Hauppauge Nova-T budget DVB card.

Anybody else have this problem?

My system was working perfectly with old versions.

Then I istalled version 4 and SP3 in XP.

The system was resetting in every recording.

Computer did not go into sleep mode.

I removed SP3 and the latter problem was solved, but still when I record something the computer does a resets in some cases.

Today I made 5 recordings and 4 of them was broken by a reset, one went through nicely.

It is not from the fact that I am making multiple recordings or from having different channels recorded at same time.

The resets happen even with one recording at a time. They happen even if recording from same or different channel packs.

This is making the SW unusable as there is few minutes brake almost every recording.

I am running only Norton virus protection and iMon at the same time as DVBViewer and it was working with release 3 version nicely. I have not changed any HW or drivers except for the nVidia graphics card.
