blasgl Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 TV-card Hauppauge Nova HD S2 driver version: 2.122.26109 mainboard: Abit AB9 Intel P965 graphics card: NVidia 7600GS PCIe 512 Mb driver version GeForce 181.20 Multi user setup in Vista 32bit (Users A and B, both with admin rights) When displaying the recording database in DVBViewer with user A everything is ok When displaying the recording database in DVBViewer with user B I see only invalid entries When displaying the recording database in the recording service Web interface I see only invalid entries as displayed below I can invert the behaviour for users A, B or the web interface with the following procedure: Logon as user B 1. move all recordings to another folder 2. delete db orphans 3. now db is empty 4. move files back to the original folder 5. refresh recording database 6. now user B sees the recordings properly and user A sees the invalid entries Any ideas? Many thanks in advance and best regards. blasgl Quote
Lars_MQ Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Problems with your regional settings (Locales). make sure the user A uses the same windows settings as User B and the systemaccount. Quote
blasgl Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Cool. Just set the same regional settings for both users and the system account and now the recording database is showing the right entries everywhere. I was concentrating too much on user rights, it seems Not that I find it essential, but would it be too difficult (or too time intensive, or too one-user-specific) to get the recording database working properly when used by several users with different regional settings? Otherwise keep up the good job! blasgl Quote
