Gioxy Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 ...AFAIU you have to check also "Do Not Receive EPG Data", otherwise your imported EPG data will be overwritten from those belonging from your DVB card... Quote
Lars_MQ Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 No this won't delete data. If there is really 7 day data from XMLTV it should be saved. (BTW. please check your systemtime/date of the PC this could also cause problems). Please check: Import the xml data, close the DVBViewer and go start -> programs -> DVBViewer program group -> userdata folder. In the following explorer window search for the epg.dat file and check it's size. If it's around 10 byte nothing is saved at all. Quote

Lars_MQ Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 You're right it's called configuration folder in the DVBViewer program group. And it's not the name of the folder but the description of it. Anyway your epg.dat is bigger than 10 bytes so something gets saved. Are you sure the imported data lies in the future? Because on saving all data older than one day is not saved. Quote

Bigger problems in my life than whats on TV. And of course the the imported epg is in the future, otherwise I wouldn't notice the future dissapear , every time I reopen the epg. I have even tried a total reinstall of DVBViewer. Quote

Bigger problems in my life than whats on TV.And of course the the imported epg is in the future, otherwise I wouldn't notice the future dissapear , every time I reopen the epg. I have even tried a total reinstall of DVBViewer. Right have had time to care. This has been a problem for a long time. I have reinstalled DVBViewer several times, and still had the same result. As soon as I close all of my imported EPG dissapear apart from the 3 hours or so which is broadcast OTA. I have resorted to differnet epg supplier (http://epg.pvr.geek.nz/epg/listings-freeview.xml.gz) and still the same result. Then in a flash of brilliance I deleted epg.dat (in error) from the config folder (this is the file that would suddenly shrink on closing of the programme). The epg.dat file has since rebuilt its self and i now have 7 days of epg on all channels I require. Is this a known bug??? Is it unique to New Zealand???? Has anyone else had this problem Quote
