vista x64 + dvbviewer + pinnacle pctv 300i = bsod

Hi everybody,

 

I'm a new DVBViewer user. I'm buy DVBViewer because I need a desktop tv viewer like progdvb, but progdvb was giving me the same problems than now have with DVBViewer. The problems are BSOD after a while of TV watching. This not happen always but most of them. Probably there is some problem with the pinnacle pctv 300i drivers but I try 3 versions of the drivers without lucky. The strange is that I use MediaPortal also and work fine, the only problem is that I must disable epg grabbing or de server hangs (must be ended from task manager).

 

I'm very surprised for the quality and functionality of DVBViewer. I'm spect to sustitute mediaportal with DVBViewer as my favorite mediacenter software but I need first to solve this problem.

 

After buy a new TVcard I need to know if the problem is the card or other question. Can anybody give me some guidelines to solve this?.

In Vista you can not get a BSOD if there is a bug in a normal Program, there must be one in a driver or hardware problem.

 

And on x64 systems many drivers are still buggy. The best solution is to change to a x32 system or look for a TV card where god x64 drivers are available (don't ask me for that a prefer the x32 option).
