riviera Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Hi. I've two low band channels in my list (11577, V, 27500, 3/4 and 11616, V, 27500, 5/6, both in Hispasat 1C/1D). I can tune in them fine, but if I switch to high band channel when I return to that low band channel, signal level is 0%. Only have one lnb which connects to an HVR-4000 and a SkyStar2 in same HTPC by one splitter. The way I work is to use DVBViewer with HVR-4000 by default, removing SkyStar 2 device in hardware section. And occasionally I work at same time with another DVBViewer instance which SkyStar 2 is default device. If I remove the cable which connects splitter and SkyStar 2 the problem continues, when I switching to a low-band channel from another high-band channel, signal level shows 0%. Thanks. Quote
riviera Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 I have located the problem. I saw that in DVBViewer instance which working with SS2 card, switching channels worked fine. I unchecked it the option "Disable LNB on completion" and now, I can switch between channels in high and low band at the DVBViewer instance which I use by default. Now I have a doubt. Could be damage the LNB in this way, whether working with one or two DVBViewer instances at once? Thanks. Quote
Griga Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Could be damage the LNB in this way, whether working with one or two DVBViewer instances at once? The LNB in no case. Only the cards, if the splitter is not diode protected. Diode protection means, card A can't consume the power delivered by card B and vice versa. Quote
