Derrick Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 you can transcode the stream on-the-fly if that's what you want. Quote
Dython Posted March 13, 2009 Author Posted March 13, 2009 you dont get it . oke for me to be able to play a vid , a file extension must have mp4 so if i stream , the file must be ######.mp4 but with the server its only a vlc or wmp file. thas wat i want to change file extension and not the kind of muxer or codec you can transcode the stream on-the-fly if that's what you want. athtse2001 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 ..renaming won't do the job. You have to transcode the content. I am new to the DVBViewer. I try to do the transcoding/streaming with the DVBViewer with VLC. I use a VLC client to receive the video streaming over the LAN. However it seems that the network traffic will not reduce with a lower bitrate and size that is shown on the stream set up screen menu. I use the task manager to monitor the network traffic and the traffic is the same no matter how I change the options on the stream menu. Can you give a hand on this ? Thanks. Quote
