Omega3 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 (edited) Ok , i have to say that DVBViewer is the only one software that has worked immediately on my hardware after the start and a few settings . It's fantastic to be able to use the postprocessing ; i use nvidia pure video decoder as first decoding filter , then i pass the video to ffdshow that provides to create the unsharpen mask ; the result image is wonderful. But .... the post processing option remains if i switch on an HD channel , so the CPU goes too high and there are problems. My question is : is it possible to set post processing for some channels only , avoiding to use it for the HD channels ? Edited March 16, 2009 by Omega3 Quote
Tjod Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 PostProcessor_ReadMe.rtf > Excluding the usage of postprocessors conditionally Excluding the usage of postprocessors conditionally If you want postprocessors not to be used under certain conditions, e.g. not with a particular decoder or not with a particular video/audio type, click Exclude for Current Media Type Exclude for Current Decoder in the Video Postprocessor or Audio Postprocessor menu, when the according decoder is currently used by DVBViewer or when the media type is played. A media type is a specific kind of compressed video (e.g. MPEG2 or H.264) or audio (e.g. AC3, AAC or MPEG Audio, including MP2 and MP3). An example: If you want to exclude the usage of video postprocessors for H.264 HDTV, because they increase the CPU load and probably disable hardware acceleration, play a H.264 video in DVBViewer and click "Plugins/ Video Postprocessor/ Exclude for Current Media Type". Please note: In different situations DirectShow may use different identifiers for video or audio types that you are regarding as identical. In this case you will have to click "Exclude for Current Media Type" again. A checkmark in one of the "Exclude" menu items (or both) indicates that exclusion is in effect. It affects all postporocessors that are listed in the menu and can be canceled by clicking the according "Exclude" menu item again, provided the checkmark is visible (which means, the according decoder is currently used by DVBViewer resp. the media type is played). DVBViewer shows the currently used Decoders in the "View\ Filters" menu. When DVBViewer closes, the plugin stores the exclusion settings in the file Postprocessor.ini as lists of decoder CLSIDs resp. media subtype GUIDs (Globally Unique Identifiers) in the following sections: //video [ExcludeDecoders] [ExcludeSubtypes] //audio [ExcludeAudioDecoders] [ExcludeAudioSubtypes].
