Björn Rosberg Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 If I enable dxva in the mpeg2 decoder I get choppy playback after exeting osd menus/pages like for example teletext pages. When switching channels the stutter will go away. This is only when dxva is enabled. My graphic card is a geforce 5200 wich I have over clocked slightly. I have also been playing around a bit with different 3d-settings in the nvidia control panel with no success. I use powerstrip to force 720p 50 Hz since I'm not allowed to do this in nvidia control panel. In dxdiag I also force 50 Hz. I would like to be able to use dxva since I think hardware deinterlacing looks far better than software. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Quote
Björn Rosberg Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 I have been testing some more now and found out that I also get audio/video sync problems when exiting osd if I use ffdshow as mpeg decoder and deinterlace with kernel bob or yadif double frame rate. Using a deinterlace filter with any decoder that combine the fields works though. So maby it isn't a dxva problem after all ... Quote
Björn Rosberg Posted April 3, 2009 Author Posted April 3, 2009 Finally I bought a new graphic card: radeon hd2400 pro agp I now get excellent playback and no stutter when exiting osd even with dxva enabled. Quote
