galmok Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I can't get access to http://www.DVBViewer.com/members/ anymore. After I enter my username and password, nothing more is happening. It is as if the server exists, but stalls infinitely (or close enough ;-) ). Quote
galmok Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 It is working again now. :-) It wasn't crashed, but I think the route to the server was bottlenecked somewhere. I got about 100 bytes per minute... Quote
galmok Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 Ok, problems are not entirely over. While I got access to the files at www.DVBViewer.com, the server server1.DVBViewer.com is having problems. I did a traceroute to the server and the connection top the server was fine, but the server itself reports packet loss. Setup.exe (DVBViewer v4) causes timeouts trying to downloading from that server. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 the problem must be somewhere between you and the server. I just tested it and it downloads the stuff with more than 280 kb/s. Quote
galmok Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 the problem must be somewhere between you and the server. I just tested it and it downloads the stuff with more than 280 kb/s. The server or router the server is connected to seems to do something strange as witnessed by this traceroute: $ tracert 207.44.144.47 Tracing route to server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 50 ms 25 ms 25 ms X.X.X.X (masked my IP) 2 24 ms 24 ms 24 ms v216-cosw1-abc.fullrate.dk [90.185.5.33] 3 26 ms 26 ms 26 ms 71.ge1-2.cosw1-ar.fullrate.dk [90.185.3.53] 4 26 ms 26 ms 27 ms te2-2.arcnxc7.dk.ip.tdc.net [195.215.109.205] 5 60 ms 60 ms 61 ms k706.pni-tdc.ams1.nl.above.net [82.98.242.121] 6 61 ms 60 ms 61 ms ge-3-0-0.mpr1.ams1.nl.above.net [64.125.26.82] 7 62 ms 61 ms 62 ms so-2-1-0.mpr2.ams5.nl.above.net [64.125.31.254] 8 62 ms 62 ms 65 ms xe-3-2-0.mpr1.lhr2.uk.above.net [64.125.31.246] 9 141 ms 141 ms 142 ms so-0-1-0.mpr1.dca2.us.above.net [64.125.27.57] 10 177 ms 176 ms 176 ms so-1-0-0.mpr3.iah1.us.above.net [64.125.29.37] 11 176 ms 177 ms 176 ms so-1-1-0.mpr1.dfw2.us.above.net [64.125.26.129] 12 175 ms 175 ms 175 ms xe-0-1-0.er1.dfw2.us.above.net [64.125.27.74] 13 172 ms 172 ms 172 ms 209.66.99.90.available.above.net [209.66.99.90] 14 179 ms 178 ms 179 ms et1-1.ibr01.hstntx2.theplanet.com [70.87.253.50] 15 182 ms 182 ms 181 ms et3-3.ibr01.hstntx1.theplanet.com [70.87.253.153] 16 182 ms 181 ms 181 ms po1.car01.hstntx1.theplanet.com [207.218.223.2] 17 181 ms 181 ms * server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] 18 181 ms * * server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] 19 181 ms * * server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] 20 181 ms 181 ms * server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] 21 * 181 ms * server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] 22 * * * Request timed out. 23 * * * Request timed out. 24 * * * Request timed out. 25 * * * Request timed out. 26 * 182 ms * server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] 27 * 181 ms * server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] 28 * * 180 ms server1.DVBViewer.com [207.44.144.47] Trace complete. galmok Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 The server now works normally again and setup could download the files. :-) Quote
Fortra Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Hi I have been having the same problem, trying to login with my members (username and password) in order to download the latest DVBViewer? Quote
Griga Posted July 8 Posted July 8 With which Browser? Try to use another one, if possible. Please note that you can't log in with your forum user name and password. You have to use the credentials that you got via mail after purchasing DVBViewer. Quote
Fortra Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) Let me explain so that there is no misunderstanding. I have built two new computers with all new components motherboards, processors, memory, ssd bootdrive, etc. OS is Win 11 pro with latest patches & updates. However Win 11 pro comes with a built-in Edge browser installed by default, however I use Vivaldi browser as my main browser because its a lot like chrome, but not bloated with useless features like chrome. I had purchased DVBViewer PRO twice, once in 2016, then followed in 2023, with the two purchases I had received an email with the unique (username & password) that I had printed for safe future keeping. Yes I do know, that you can't use one's forum credentials to login onto the members download area page. Also I do have, and use a browser extension ublock origin to block popups when browsing on the net. It can be easily disable or enable at any time. Edited July 8 by Fortra Quote
Fortra Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Additional information that's important with the Edge browser I have it, setup with a few more added extension. Because Microsoft as decided to include a weak protection feature to its Edge Browser, hence I had to install additional extensions. Quote
Griga Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Just tried to access the members section (customer download area) under Windows 10 with Firefox (with several add-ons, among them ublock origin), Edge without any add-ons, Chrome (with some add-ons, but not ublock origin). No problem here. So I can't tell what's going wrong on your PC Have you already tried to force a complete reload of the page with Ctrl + F5, so cache content is ignored? Quote
Fortra Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Success, I managed to get access to the members page. Was able to download the updated DVBViewer and few other stuff too. Quote
Fortra Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Additional information to go with the post above, I now have the following browsers installed listed here >, Edge, Google Chrome, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi, Comodo Dragon. Most of them will have extension installed and enabled, and some will have extensions disabled turned off. Quote
