majstang Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Hello! Pastimer reported about this problem in 2007 but didn´t get an answer. The issue persist because I have it right now. Same result with earlier version 3.9.4. The issue is the following: I have configured my pc to go to hibernation when I press the power button. DVBViewer is running when PC is hibernated. When resuming from hibernation, everything is the same, except threre is a black screen: nothing is playing. It is only when I change channels or reselect the selected(!) channel that play resumes. Im sure you could easy replicate this issue yourselves. Please add this bug to the TO DO LIST and fix it. It would not be one day to late considering this issue have been unattended for a long time now. Majstang Quote
Conrad. Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Have you tried using the "retune on missing stream" option? I have a similar problem that sometimes when DVBViewer is auto-launched from a timer it doesn't tune the channel correctly. Auto retuning solves this problem. Quote
majstang Posted April 2, 2009 Author Posted April 2, 2009 (edited) Have you tried using the "retune on missing stream" option?I have a similar problem that sometimes when DVBViewer is auto-launched from a timer it doesn't tune the channel correctly. Auto retuning solves this problem. Yes! It does no difference. Tried that with 3.9.4 as well with same negative result. Auto-launching DVBViewer from timer (WOSB) when htpc wakes up gives me no problem. The channels tunes in right every time. My problem only occurs if Im running DVBViewer when I hibernate htpc and wakes it up again. When DVBViewer resumes the screen is black, most of the options on the rightclick menu is inactivated, no filters working. It would be nice if my issue could be solved cuz then DVBViewer would be running everytime my htpc resumes from hibernation without any manual steps like closing or restarting it. Pretty much like an ordinary TV. Could of course solve this with a script, but it should be solved by the authors of this software. Hopefully they think this is worth fixing, but judging from the extrem amout of response and answers I got from the initiated people, I have no high hopes. Edited April 2, 2009 by majstang Quote
