ITS A SCAM ! Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Firstly, i have looked on the many forums available, but not found the answers. so if a there is a "sticky" anywhere, please can you show me...thank you very much..anyway, i have a motorised dish and i think i have finally set it up to 0.8w thor satellite. i wish to use DVBViewer to contol the motor etc, but i have not got much of a clue on how to set up the motor etc..my set-up is the following 85cm Dish, Technisat Skystar HD2 PCI card, Technomate TM-2300 "Super" Motor, Technomate 0.2db LNB, DVBViewer pro. I have to say that so far i am very confused about the whole satellite TV idea, and my family wish i had never even tried to fit it !! Please help me to prove them wrong. Quote
ITS A SCAM ! Posted April 5, 2009 Author Posted April 5, 2009 I have finally got around to setting up my dish..yey ! Anyway, i am unable to use DVBViewer to control my motor. If i scan for new channels the motor will move to the selected satellte, but after this satellites channels have been stored, i will go and scan another satelite in the same way, but if i wanted to watch another channel on the previous satellite i have to re-scan all over again, as the motor will not move back to the satellite it was facing. my system is the following.......Skystar HD pci card, 85cm dish, Technomate DiSEqC TM-2300 "super" motor. Can anyone please help me ?? Many thanks. Quote

ITS A SCAM ! Posted April 5, 2009 Author Posted April 5, 2009 (edited) I am sorry, but my first question is regarding hardware installation, which i have now sorted out on my own..the second question is software related. I have a feeling that this software does not allow dish control from stored programmes . can you help ?? If this software does not work this way it is no good to me, and i have wasted money on a product that was recommended to me as "just what i needed"..once again...sorry P.S I am currently trying DVB Dream, which so far is working 100%. But its still early days. Edited April 5, 2009 by ITS A SCAM ! Quote
Griga Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 First try to make it work with TransEdit (download from the members area) and the built-in positioner console. Read the manual and particularly this chapter. Additionally make sure that you are using the latest SkyStar HD2 driver (contained in the Software 1.2 version from TechniSat). Previous drivers don't handle DiSEqC 1.1/1.2 correctly. Quote
ITS A SCAM ! Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Hello, sorry but i made a mistake..i have the skysat HD card, not the skysat HD2. Very sorry about that...I have looked at, and messed about with Transedit, but i am afraid i cannot "get my head around it". is there a new user guide anywhere ? many thanks Quote
