think about you are working on your PC/Laptop and DVBViewer is running and showing a TV Channel.

your TV is connected to your PC/Laptop correctly but there is something feature i need....

maybe it is ready but i do not know....hope you can help.

I need DVBViewer TV screen will be shown full screen on TV while i am surfing the Web.

for now whenever i want to watch DVBViewer in full screen on TV i should transfer the whole screen on my PC/laptop to TV therefor i can watch DVBViewer no other surfing the Web or something else...

or whenever i surfeing the Web , DVBViewer is showing a channel but in a zoom 20% or 40% or....windowed mode in corner of PC/Laptop.

but i want a mixed feauture :

surfing the Web while DVBViewer is full screen on TV.

is it possible?

Hi,

perhaps second video card will solve your goal...hook it up to TV, drag DVBV to that screen and browse the internet on primary screen.

mborkP ......

Thank you for your respond.

your suggestion may correct but I can not test it because of my Laptop does not have second Graphic card to test.

anyway...

i will prepare a PC with 2 Graphic card installed and hope it will work.

if i found and it worked correctly i will back.

Your laptop doesn't need 2 video cards just a video card that supports dual outputs.

My very old laptop (about 5 years old now, P4 3Ghz with a Radeon 9700) works fine if I connect it up to the TV and set the display options to extend my desktop to the 2nd "monitor". I can then run DVBViewer on the TV while still surfing on the laptop (unless I try to open HD channels which just kill the laptop :D)

yup what springveldt said.

on my lapotop (XP) i can just right-click a blank bit of the desktop, select properties, then select settings tab. if there are 2 blue boxes (representing the screens, with one greayed out) thenclick the greyed-out box and there should be a tick-box saying "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor". this will only work if the 2nd monitor (TV) is already plugged in. My laptop uses s-video cable, but can use dvbt? if tv supports it.

ok the box then you should be able to drag boxes between the two screens

Hi,

sure it will work that way as well. I'm not sure thou if you can set different resolutions on each outputs on single card?

Two cards - no problem.

Hoooraaaaa

it worked.

my Dell Inspiron 6400 Latop with one Graphic card (ATI Mobility Radeon X1400) has tow output.

one 7 pin S-Video and one VGA output for Monitors.

whenever i attached my TV to S-Video output of Graphic Card there is some option in Advanced Mode in ATI Catalyst Control Center installed by ATI Driver.

1 - move whole of screen from Laptop to TV. in this mode Desktop whill be shown on TV and Laptop screen is Black.

2- Clone the Laptop and TV. in this mode the screen will be shown on both of them. meanwhile resolution on Laptop will be changed from 1280*800 to 800*600 but Screen Quality on my analogue TV is OK enough to watch

3- Extend Laptop screen to TV. in this way think you place 2 Monitor side by side and hlf of screen is shown on first Monitor & another half side of screen will be shown on second Monitor.

so whenever i attached my analogue TV set to my laptop via S-Video 7 pin , i tried #3 and Extend the screen to TV via Catalyst Control Center.

now all things are working correctly.

by extending the screen i can surf the web normally while DVBViewer is running in second screen area full screen on TV.

of course it can work on #4 if we have 2 different Graphic card but this method on #3 is working done correct to me.

I am so happy watching Satellite TV from my Skystar USB 2 HD CI connected to Laptop and Laptop is connected to TV.

Imagine it will be ultimate while you watching a HD satellite TV using DVBViewer on your full speed Laptop that connected to your LCD TV via HDMI port by #3 Method.

WooooooW what a rapturous technology.

I love DVBViewer and big thanks for DVBViewer & Dell & ATI & Technisat companies.

Thank you mborkP ; Springveldt ; Lincoln_DJ for your responds.

Usually that depends on the drivers but it it should be fine. Also I think UltraMon will also let you set different resolutions, backgrounds etc for each monitor.
