creeek Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Hi, All I want is DBviewer to work. Most software I that come with a USB unit appears to be rubbish. So, I bought a KWORLD DVB-T 100 PCI card, SPECIFICALLY because it is listed in your compatibility list! 1. I still had problems, so I started from scratch and deleted the config folder 2. Re-installed dbviewer 3. All seems fine, got picture etc, thouht 'great', but on further changes (cant quite remember what), but recall it was simnple changes to the 'favourites' channel list 4. LOTS of times, DBviewer crashes and leaves the process running and dosnt seem to want to stop. I have just re-checked, as I write and it HAS NOW stopped. It crashes, when I try to apply changes to the sound config.... why am I trying this? 5. Because I am not getting sound on BBC1, but BBC2 is OK!! (very weird!) on checking other channels: ITV1 and 2, channel 4, channel 4 +1, E4, E4+1no sound or vision with signal strength at 78-79% ITV4 ok I have tried a re-scan and end up with lots of duplicate channels... Any ideas.... or more information is no problem! Support.zip Quote
creeek Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 Re-tried today and all channels now seem to work, except no sound on ITV1 and BBC1(as before) interesting, if I click 'Settings', 'audio track', there are 2 BBC1's and 2 ITV's, if I select the other aduio track, it works. But next time, it stays on the old one and fails audio.... WHY? And why cant this software be more user friendly?! (idiot proof!) Quote
Lars_MQ Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 (idiot proof!) Maybe it isn't, because idiots are not supposed to operate highly complex and complicated machines? Quote
sw4y Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." Sry, but I had to do this Quote
Lars_MQ Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Well nothing to add here ;) Mr. Adams can't be wrong Quote
creeek Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 Thanks and very useful. Totally NOT fixed, seems like even the 'intelligent' cant fix it. I have to say, it is working the most reliable I have seen it! But still have sound problems, which seem to be caused by 2 entries in the 'Setting', 'audio tack' option. Quote
raty Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 The only thought on this is regarding your incoming signal. Do you know if the aerial is correctly aligned or have you checked this with some other equipment? Just a thought. Its just that with DVB-T you need good signal strength. Quote
