HD error "certification error" on HDMI only with dVBveiwer attempting to view BBC HD (astra) (any HD channel)

the following error message is put out when using HDMI connection to Samsung HD LCD

"cannot render mediafile/output pin , error: 0x80040295 an operation failed due to certification error"

The DVBViewer works Ok with DVI connection to 22" HD LCD monitor, using cyberlink 7.3 codecs.

Cyberlink plays bluray Ok via the same HDMI to the Samsung TV, so HDCP is working on the setup.

Looks like DVBveiwer needs more info from the graphics card. (ATI Radion HD 3200 on-board Graphics)

In "settings" "options" "directX" the selection for H.264 is greyed out suggesting DBVviewer thinks there is no HD out put available

Any suggestions what I do next.

..means, there's no H.264 decoder available.

Yes that is what DVBViewer thinks, but only via the HDMI route, when connected thro' DVI (digital) cable to an HD monitor the H.264 option is not greyed out and HD channels work OK.

BTW I have the latest drivers installed for the ATI 3200. Win XP SP3.

Derrick ......You are correct.........

I retested the DVI 22" monitor IT DONT WORK ANY MORE.........WHAT THE.....

My copy of Cyberlink powerDVD came with my LG Bluray drive........Yesterday I accepted "FREE" update....that was the cause of the problem....the H.264 codec has undergone a minor name change and it is no longer regestered as a codec.

reverting to the old version from the CD fixed the above problem with DVBveiwer ONLY to cause the PowerDVD to fail insisting it needs to be upgraded and it no longer will display Bluray movies just pretty coloured patterns, Cyberlink are playing with me.

How do I register the new codec. any help gratefully accepted.

CellZapper , I don't think registeration of the new codec is THE problem. Free update is istalling AND registering the kind of codecs which can be used with Cyberlink powerDVD only ! I know about this problem not only with latest CL PowerDVD but couple of other programs do the same. I would suggest googling for "HDPack". And from therein, choose any or all codecs EXCEPT Cyberlink....otherwise your updated PowerDVD would not work properly.
