AndrueC Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 There's a problem playing back BBC HD recordings using a PS3. It keeps defaulting to playing the narrative track (from what I can tell this happens with a lot of clients). The problem is that the PS3 gets upset sometimes when selecting the non-narrative audio track and playback stalls. Is there any way to just stop the narrative track from being recorded? Quote
Derrick Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 If you select ac3 (-> channel editor) as the main channel, only ac3 will be recorded if the option (-> recorder) "all audio tracks" is unchecked. There could be an issue cos BBC HD doesn't use the standard ac3 stream_id 0xBD. Maybe that could cause problems with your PS3. If that is the case, you could fix it with a tool called TS Doctor. That's the way I've got it set. Could it be because I'm using the recording service? I'll ask in the thread. Edit:Aha! Yes, there's a separate option for that. Unfortunately because none of my browsers (IE6, IE7 or IE8) render the UI properly I hadn't notice it. Edited April 16, 2009 by AndrueC Quote
