...anyhow it seems that nowadays Cyberlink is selling only this remote+USB receiver...

Since it's compatible with MCE and other non-Cyberlink app, it should work also with DVBViewer...

Ah, so it's the old model (today's out of Cyberlink catalog)...

Anyhow, as writed down in the page you linked: «• Works with any Media software running on Windows XP/Media Center edition/Vista. »

Also stated in the Cyberlink FAQ: «Can I use Cyberlink Remote Control to access any other products? Yes. If the Application or software claim that it supports Microsoft HID, It means that the Remote Control can control it. You can make a simple test with Media Player.»

Again from the Cyberlink FAQ: «After installing the USB receiver, you can go to "Control Panel->Device Manager". It should have "HID Keyboard Device" in "Keyboards"», so it's (as I supposed) a HID device and behaves as a (limited) addictional keyboard...

Once installed, to configure the buttons that doesn't work correcly for DVBViewer you simply have to associate DVBViewer's specific action to the specific remote button with the function "learn" you find in "Settings / Option / Commands"...
