Reza Sadeghi Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I a registered DVBViewer 4.0 pro User. some times watching satellite TV by DVBViewer 4.0 Pro there is a strange Bar (Line) on top of some TV Channels for example : arte ( on Hotbird) or M6 Suisse (on Eutelsat W3a) and more.... I will show you by the Pic i attached and i drew a Red line around it. I do not know how is it related and how to remove it. it shows only on some TV not all of them. please tell me what is the problem. I attached my Support file too. Quote
Derrick Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 ..it's a relict from the analogue realm called wide_screen_signaling (wss). This signal is used to switch TVs from 4/3 to 16/9. With digital transmissions it's not needed anymore but sometimes the source is analogue. On normal tv sets with overscan it's not visible but on your pc you'll see the entire area including the wss line. With zoom or crop (afaik only with DVBViewer-GE) you can get rid of it. Quote
Devastation Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 ..it's a relict from the analogue realm called wide_screen_signaling Ah, I never ask for this because it seldom happens to be seen. But good to know. Thank you. Quote
