bigaluk Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I got a popup during the installation of DVBViewer during (or after?) the "Registering DVBViewer COM Server". Unfortunately all the error dialog says is "This program requires Windows NT version 6.0.6000 or later" and has an "X" icon and ok button. Since I have no idea what this reference to NT 6.0.6000 or later actually means, it is not helpful. Nor does the dialog tell me what program it is refering to by "This program". I am using Windows XP Pro (MCE) SP3 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234). I was upgrading DVBViewer from the last full release before 4.1. I selected full build with updates to Transedit and the X10 and MCE handsets. After clicking OK, the setup finishes ok, and the configuration wizard runs ok. As usual (I've been here before) letting the wizard use "existing settings" means the hardware is listed but no-longer recognised, my channel lists have all disappeared and essentially I have to restart and rescan everything again. But I suspect this problem (whilst tedious) is unrelated to the error dialog. However, I am still left wondering if something might be broken as a result of whatever caused the dialog. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Well, if you do read, you do have an advantage. Why do you try to install the DVBViewer Recording Properties on a non Vista+ system? It is written there: only Vista+ 32bit. Quote

Or should I uninstall and re-install? Quote
Lars_MQ Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Everything is ok. The message only states, that one of the additional downloads did not install at all because, it was not meant for the OS version you are using. No need to worry. This message does not influence the DVBViewer setup at all. Quote
